When you start off playing World of Warcraft you are broken in gently into the game and the quests are very easy to find and carry out. Later on the quests are that little bit more tough to follow and the locations where they are a lot harder to find, often very far away from the quest giver. Also even the way they are presented can be a little bit hard to follow. But at the start they are in a format that is easy to follow, almost like a guide.
So to begin with you should have no problem finding and finishing the quest and levelling up in wow should be quite easy until you reach level 15 where all of them are packed in the same location. For the horde this will be in Durotar and the adjoining Barrens (Orcs and Trolls area) and Mulgore (Tauren) in the Azeroth continent of Kalimdorr and Tristfal Glades (Undead) and Ever Song Woods (Blood Elves) in the Eastern Kingdom continent. For alliance Teldrassil (Night Elves) and Azurmyst Isle (Draenei) in Kalimdor and Elwyn forest (Humans) and Dun Morogh (Dwarves and Gnomes) in the Eastern Kingdom.
When you go beyond these starting areas it then gets tricky because quests that you might pick up in a region in the eastern Kingdom might well be located in another remote region in the same continent but often in another continent. So it is easy to lose track of your quests and where to go.
Personally I was so frustrated with this state of affairs that I gave up playing in frustration for a while as all I seemed to be doing is wonder aimlessly for hours getting nowhere. This is until I found out about add ons that are available to for download in world of warcraft that you can install very easily in the “add on” folder where you downloaded your copy of wow.
To complete world of warcarft quests, the best add on to use first and foremost is the map mod because it gives you the coordinates pointing out where you are in the map and most importantly where it’s located. Now I don’t know exactly how the co-ordinates are worked out except that it is basically based on where in the screen x or y is. All we need to know that this add on rocks because when you are stuck on a particular quest all you then need to do is zoom over to the thotbot or Allakhazam websites, search the quest and players who completed the quest will both give you the co-ordinates where to go and most importantly how to carry it out. Also at the top next to the description of the quest you should have a guide to let you know the level you ought to be before undertaking the quest. No use being at level 20 and taking on mobs that are 25 plus unless you play with a large group of friends.
