Even though a baby girl might have long, batting eyelashes and pursed, plump lips, and a baby boy might have masculine cheek bones and a blue sleeper on, people will still ask: “Is that a boy or a girl?” because they are so afraid of getting it wrong and offending the parent. Well, no more!
A way to enhance the confirmation of your baby’s gender, is to decorate their car seat with a custom cover. There are several ways for you to do this:
One way, is to make a whole new cover all together. You can find sewing patterns all over the web. They’re also pretty easy to follow even if you are a newbie. Or, you can use the patterns and use iron on witch stitchery to put it together. You can really have fun with it by picking your favorite fabric, and even make multiples depending on what out fit YOU’RE wearing.
A simpler way for you to custom you child’s car seat cover, is to find iron-on patches or even sewable patches at your local fabric store. You can get a butterfly, or a rose for your baby girl’s car seat cover. Or, you can get a car or your baby boy’s favorite cartoon character for his car seat cover. You can maybe even get different-textured ones that will capture your child’s attention when they are stuck in their so-hated car seat.
All of these are good candidates at avoiding the confusion about your baby’s gender, and add a little kick to those boring neutral-colored car seats.
